During business hours, our AAHA-accredited hospital provides urgent evaluation, stabilization, and treatment for pets facing sudden illness or injury. Our team is equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, and in-house lab testing to assess your pet’s condition quickly and accurately, so we can recommend the safest next step for your dog or cat.
If your pet needs services beyond what we can provide in-house, including overnight monitoring or round-the-clock critical care, we will help coordinate a referral to a 24-hour emergency animal hospital. Calling us first allows us to guide you and your pet to the right level of care as quickly as possible.
Urgent Care Visits
Appointment Scheduling Call ahead before heading in with an urgent care concern. Letting our team know you’re on the way, along with your estimated arrival time, helps us prepare for your pet’s visit. Because we prioritize patients based on medical need, wait times may vary if a more critical case arrives ahead of your pet. Your pet will be triaged upon arrival, and our team will keep you updated throughout the visit.
Payment We accept all major credit and debit cards, cash, and checks. Please note that urgent care visits may carry a higher exam cost than a routine wellness appointment, since urgent cases require immediate attention, dedicated staff, and additional resources to ensure your pet receives prompt, quality care.
After-Hours Pet Emergencies
Orchard Road Animal Hospital is open Monday and Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. What Is Considered a Pet Emergency?
In most cases, the following conditions are too serious to wait for a regular appointment:
- Injury from a traumatic accident or an attack by another animal
- Fainting or collapse
- Paralysis or sudden loss of movement
- Seizures

- Limping or noticeable discomfort

- Changes in appetite or thirst
- Coughing, sneezing, or nasal discharge
- Fleas, ticks, or intestinal parasites
- Swallowing a foreign object, such as a toy or bone
- Blood in urine or straining to urinate
